Doctrines Concerning

God, The Holy Spirit

A. That the Holy Spirit exists eternally as the third person of the trinity, and that He is equal with the Father and the Son in power and essence.

Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Act 5:3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

Act 5:4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

Act 5:5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

2Co 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. <The second epistle to the Corinthians was written from Philippi, a city of Macedonia, by Titus and Lucas.>

Heb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Personal Opinion:

OK, There are some verses which point to the existence of three Gods, The Father, Son and The Holy Spirit.

However, none of those cited touch on the claim that The Holy Spirit is equal to the other two in power and essence.

Not that I would deny those attributes.  They, by common sense, would seem to come with the territory, so to speak.  That's what a real God is.
