Sufficient - God's revelation in the Scriptures is adequate for salvation and righteous living. There is nothing left out that is necessary and useful to know and also nothing taught but what is expedient to know. [Calvin].
2Pe 1:3
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:2Pe 1:4
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.Personal Opinion:
Yes, no doubt about it, in the areas of salvation and holy living, God has given us perfect instructions.
But in other areas, for example music, history, physics, mathematics, etc. he leaves us a great amount of unrevealed knowledge. My opinion is that this was an act of love on His part so we would have an opportunity to exercise the brains which he gave us. Not only is it a source of joy in this life to discover those unrevealed truths but my hope is that the talents which we develop through the use of our brains in this life God will have a use for them in the world to come.
